I began my venture into private nannying after working in childcare in recent years. Although I enjoyed my role as a childcare provider, I felt I had more to offer the individual child than possible in a busy childcare setting. Clearly, the attentive one-on-one or small group care, that is possible as a private nanny, better enables provision of personalised care based on individual needs.

As a private nanny, I am able to model clear boundaries and maintain those ever- important routines to suit each child in my care at their particular stage of development. Private nannying also enables me to better provide the type of outdoor experiences and real-word experiences that I believe are essential to the developing child. It is my philosophy that time spent in the sunny outdoors and fresh air, whether it be by the ocean, on the farm or on a simple walk, is priceless in terms of the well-being of not only children, but also ourselves.

I value the direct contact with families regarding the individual child’s needs and care requirements. As an informed carer, I feel I am well-placed to provide optimal care for the individual child. I am open to taking on new ideas and love sharing highlights of the day. My ability to build connections with children in a calm and familiar environment allows for a deep understanding of each child's individual needs.

It is truly wonderful to feel such fulfilment in my current work as a private nanny, and I look forward to what each day brings.
